Hi lovelies! How are you? I hope life has been treating you with well. As for me, I've been very busy with uni, as I imagine all Australian uni students are at this time of the semester. I'd been looking forward to trying my hand at baking rainbow-coloured confectioneries for a while now, and finally found some time before and between classes to bake and frost these sweet treats a few days ago. I made rainbow vanilla cupcakes with chocolate frosting and butterfly sprinkles. This was my first time trying it, so I decided to use only four colours and they turned out pastel coloured instead of having deeper hues. It was all good though because the gentle colours looked so sweet! They complemented the light and fluffy vanilla cupcakes really well. Unfortunately I didn't have enough time to make the chocolate frosting from scratch (I turned up late for lecture and smelling like a bakery. Ha!) so I used Nutella and Betty Crocker's frosting instead.

On a separate note, I broke the F key on my laptop keyboard, so it's been really insensitive and a nuisance trying to type the letter F in anything! I broke it when I was trying to remove the dust trapped underneath my keyboard... with my strong, manly fingers. Don't try it at home, folks. Also, my washing machine has been stretching all my clothes, it's driving me insane. Going shopping with David and Belle this Sunday to look for new denim shorts because my two existing pairs have be stretched to high heavens. In the meantime, I'll be working on my final two assignments so I can start studying for my exams.
FFFFFFF. Darn it, I must've pressed the 'F' key 20 times and it only appeared six times. Rawrrr! Need to get thatixed fixed (!!! HULK SMASH!!!) soon. Thank goodness I didn't break a vowel key... Only, when I get angry with trying to type F and end up spamming my F key (as above), it sounds like I'm being rude. Le sigh.
Have a happy week, sweets! ♥

ReplyDeleteThey are looking mighty delicious! I like that you put little butterfly sprinkles on the top.
ReplyDeleteAnd I hate when I break something on my computer. Mine needs replacing anyway.
We definitely need to catch up. Let me know when you're free (from uni). I've been wanting to go back to the Farmers market in the city. I want to get fresh flowers and macarons :) x
